I am having so much trouble writing here in the suburbs. I feel so detached from the places that feel alien to me. The things that seem worth observing are far away. These things are amonst the sputtering cars, and the thick salty ethnicity of the city. No matter were you go there your in second hand smoke. No matter were you go there is music. No matter were you go there is violence, hatred, and passion. Here there is just a lot of hot air. A lot of steam, and a lot of white people cutting their grass living in fear. I am bored here. I feel like i'm in exile, but I am not truly lonely. I have friends here. My brain just feels disconnected. Apart. Something is amiss in my head and it is the cancer of urban sprawl, amidst the honeycombs of WASP neighborhoods. It crushes creativity. Smothers the spread of ideas. Here is the last place, I need to be. I am a rose trying to grow from the concrete.
